Another great day on the water. Lots of fish and had the chance to sight cast to some monster chubs. I tested 4 flies today and while they all produced, the salt creek slayer - just killed them.
Hi Michael! They are killer for a huge top water strike and then they are just dead weigh. The local blue gills are super fun and totally opposite, softer takes and then they go sideways and don't stop pulling.
I also lived in FL (Stuart). So I totally know where you are coming from lately. Bass on Top water tenkara are amazing!
Nice! Used to love catching fallfish (I assume that's what those are) on UL spinning tackle, never caught one on tenkara, must have been a blast.
